painting aprons was a long but satisfying project
We began with a plain white apron that Mrs. Garcia bought over the summer for each of us. We did rough thumbnail sketches and used various internet sites and books to decide upon our final designs. From there, we traced our aprons on butcher paper to make sure the design looked okay at the right scale. Because the aprons were flimsy, we painted a lot of white "gesso" paint on them to stiffen and make them stronger.
